You'll find some of the most beautiful hill stations in all of this natural beauty.

Nainital

Nainital is a popular hill stations in uttarakhand. Nainital, at an elevation of almost 2,000m (6562 feet), is well-known for its scenic views and beautiful lakes. Nainital is derived from two Hindi words, “nain” meaning eye and “tal” meaning lake. This hill station is home of many beautiful lakes, including Naini Lake. The circumference of this circular lake is approximately 3 km (1.86 mile) and it is surrounded seven hills. This is why Sapta Sharinga Fairy Tale Lake is also available. You won't soon forget the boat ride you had on the lake!

Almora

Almora is another beautiful hill station in Uttarakhand. Almora is located at 1,638m (5,361ft) above sea level, on a Horse-Shoe Ridge. It offers stunning views from every direction. The town was once the capital city of the Chand kingdom. It has a rich cultural history. There are many temples and gardens scattered throughout the area. If you're looking to get out on the adventure trail, there are also many trekking trails. Almora's best season to visit is March-June, when the weather will be mild and pleasant.

Pithoragarh

Pithoragarh, a small village located at 1,915m (6,283ft) in the Himalayan Mountains. Pithoragarh, surrounded by dense forests and snow-capped peaks, is truly a paradise for nature lovers. Pithoragarh has many options for trekking. These include treks to Milam Glacier, one of the most powerful glaciers in Uttarakhand, and Ralam Gad waterfall. Dhwaj Temple offers breathtaking views of the valley below. You can also take a dip at Namik Spring which is believed to be therapeutic.

Naukuchiatal

Naukuchiatal, another beautiful hill station in Uttarakhand is Naukuchiatal. Naukuchiatal, at 1,220m (4,003ft), is known best for Naukuchiatal Lake (also called Nauki Tal) which translates to “Lake of Nine Corners”. The man-made lake measures almost 1 kilometer (0.62 mi) in circumference and is more than 40 meters (131 ft) deep. It is also considered to be one the deepest lakes of Asia. Naukuchiatal Lake is not the only attraction. There are also hiking trails that lead to charming villages perched on the hillsides and stunning views of the Himalayan mountain ranges.
