Voriconazole is introduced for the treatment of patients with Invasive aspergillosis (a kind of fungal infection due to Aspergillus sp). The voriconazole injection is also used to treat Candidaemia (another sort of fungal infection due to Candida sp) in patients without abnormally decreased WBCs count), Serious invasive Candida species infections when the fungus is resistant to fluconazole and Serious fungal infections established by the Scedosporium species or Fusarium species (a couple of different species of fungi). The usual dose of voriconazole should be administered by intravenous infusion over one to three hours only.
