Bangalore, since decades has been standing tall among the list of major metropolitans in India. Many factors in terms of globalization led to this. Texas Instruments were responsible for the tech storm that started way back in the early 1990s after they had already set-up shop in town. This attracted major industries and companies and needless to say, people started migrating to taste the fresh opportunities from all over the country and the world. Bangalore is now home to many educational and research based organisations by playing a significant role in its contribution towards skill development.

As it evolved into the IT hub of the country, families and professionals began establishing residence and formed families. This, in return, increased the need for all sorts of establishments in the city. Restaurants, hotels, companies, start-ups, schools, hospitals and all sorts of essential and optional services and facilities began emerging making the city a powerhouse of jobs and opportunities. In fact, the population of Bangalore is now 3 times that it was back in the 1990s, while currently being around 13 million inhabitants.

Over time, the demand for an intelligent workforce called for a higher grade of education and the education industry in Bangalore boomed. This led to the emergence of multiple schools and educational boards and formats.

Here is a list of Top 8 school admissions in Bangalore to be aware of.

  1. Global Indian International School (GIIS)

Founded in 2002 in Singapore, it has campuses across many countries. Later, in 2013 a campus was formed in Bangalore with the CBSE and GMP board, as an International School.

In my opinion, it is one of the best schools in bangalore, be it as a primary or as a secondary school. GIIS has campuses in 7 different major countries like Thailand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Singapore, the UAE and Japan and offers the CBSE and the GMP curricula for the kindergarten or pre-primary years in the Bangalore campus and other campuses across India. GIIS is only one such international school in Bangalore which has a diverse global footprint. GMP or the Global Montessori Plus is one of their unique curricula that is designed for nursery children by working on the already famous Montessori method.

The school fees in Bangalore for GIIS is around 2 LPA but it differs from grade to grade. It offers resources like a skating rink, a football ground, basketball court, badminton court, indoor sports arena, a unique Mahatma Gandhi Centre for Universal Values, an IT Centre, kid's pool, play area, Art and Craft lab, Montessori Lab, a Maths Lab and a highly ready infirmary. This international school is different because it uniquely follows the CBSE curriculum too and offers at least 5-6 scholarships on the basis of merit, means and talent.

  1. Mallya Aditi International School Bangalore

It was founded in 1984 with the ICSE, IGCSE, ISC and AICE boards, and is an International School.

It is named after the notorious Vijay Mallya but has an identity of its own for its excellent quality in education.

Here, students of Grades IX-X can opt between the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and grades XI-XII students are offered the Indian School Certificate (ISC) and the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) to choose from. With a lavish campus and an open for international intake outlook, the students are exposed to both Western and Regional Cultures, with most students being inherently well-versed in western and south asian languages other than Hindi and Kannada. The school has also been awarded the prestigious Cambridge Fellowship by the University of Cambridge, England, due to its excellent academic curriculum among all the schools with Cambridge Qualifications. Due to its history and diverse curriculum, it is considered to be one of the best school admissions in Bangalore.

  1. Inventure Academy

Another international school, it was founded in 2005 with the CAIE and ICSE board under the India learning Foundation and is affiliated to the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). Their powerful motto, “Carpe Diem”, which means ‘to Seize the Day.’, interestingly also used in the movie Dead Poets Society, keeps motivated and always out-innovating and inventing. It is located in the south of bangalore in an area that has many other international schools with lush green trees, and works as the perfect recluse for students to train their minds. However, when it comes to school fees in Bangalore, it has one of the highest fees for a school amounting to almost 4 LPA.

4.Bishop Cotton Boys’ School

Established in the year 1865, it offers the ISC and ICSE curricula and has stood tall for 150 glorious years. Bishop Cotton Boys’ School has won the tag of the “Eton of the East” along with another Eton in the east which is located in Tokyo and stands strong as one of Bangalore’s leading school, while being one of India’s three top-ranked private, non-international schools, and the topmost private schools among most metro schools in India. Students of the school have gone on to shine in different walks of life, all over the world. Currently, it is one of the Top 10 Schools in Bangalore.

5.Delhi Public School, South Bangalore

This is a school that is present across the country with over 200 campuses under their name. The first DPS came up in Mathura Road, in freshly independent Delhi, India. In Bangalore, it came about in the South after being set up in 2001. The facilities offered are quite diverse with a special focus on physical activities. They have national level events because of the wide reach of the DPS family schools. They also have an environment friendly campus.

The fees here range from 70 – 90 thousand per annum with all sorts of facilities like smart classes, computer labs, cafeteria, health clinics, transport services, hobby club, maths labs, an extensive library, science labs and multiple play areas for different sports.

6. The International School Bangalore

One of the best international schools in Bangalore, the architecture of this school and their mode of interaction with the students will make you feel as though you are in an English country. They are heavily reliant on technology in order to provide the students with the most modern tools and techniques. Keeping this mind, they also offer multiple curricula in order to generate diverse exposure.

Being located in South bangalore in Sarjapur close to GIIS, It offers facilities such as transport, cafeteria, medical care, amphitheater, convention center, gym, and art studios.
