EOT Crane, Girder Crane, Single EOT Crane, Goliath Crane is very popular. They are used for various purposes in construction and industrial manufacturing sites. Recently it has been observed that JIB Crane is also getting popular due to its convenient use and comparative low price. If you are planning to use a hoist and a crane to shift, displace or handle heavy material and containers in your premises then you can also think of purchasing and installing a JIB Crane.

What is a JIB Crane?

A JIB crane is a best solution for shifting and hoisting material in small places. Factory or industrial premises have their own limitations. All factories cannot be spacious or large enough to mount huge EOT or goliath Cranes. There is always a crunch of space as real estate is too costly and usually all the suburban industrial areas are overcrowded with established industries.

So if you have a requirement of using a crane for a small place, JIB crane is a perfect fit. It is an overhead lifting machine that lifts and shifts material in smaller work area. These cranes are often used for those tasks that are repetitive and involve single movement operation. As they specialize in lifting and shifting material from one place to another they are used for stack jobs or piling. The use of JIB crane has resulted in improved operation efficiency and reduces the overall Turn out Time.

Kinds of Crane JIB

A thorough research and analysis has been done by industrial engineers in designing and developing a Bridge Crane. JIB Crane also known as a Bridge Crane is specifically designed for industrial units that need a fast loco machine that can shift materials from one place to another on a regular basis. Thus industrial plants, where raw material containers or finished goods need to be loaded on transportation trucks or stack them in a warehouse, use JIB Crane.

There are three variants of Jib Crane

First is a floor Mounted JIB Crane. This is the most simple and economical range of crane JIB. These cranes are mounted on the floor and do not need any heavy structures, railing or bridges to install them. Once mounted on the floor their arm can rotate at 270 degrees and shift material or containers as required. These cranes are operated easily and do not require very complex process of handling, maintenance or operation.

Second variant of a JIB crane is a Fixed Wall Mounted JIB. These cranes are fixed on the wall and have a better arm movement. They can handle the material from any angle thus giving greater leverage of shifting and displacing material. This type of Jib crane is a bit costly and requires more precision in handling and operation.

The third kind of crane JIB is travelling wall mounted JIB. This is the most advanced and complex JIB. It is an engineering marvel to manufacture this kind of JIB. It should be bought only from recognized and experienced manufacturers like RMS Industries.

This crane though mounted on a wall, can travel on fixed rails thereby increasing the span of hoisting, lifting and shifting material. It is primarily used where the distance of shifting is large and the material to shift is too heavy to be operated from ground.
