Manchester City have maintained their unbeaten run as they beat Bristol City 3-1 with goals from Jill Roord and Laia Aleixandri to stay atop goal difference after playing out what many considered was their title-clincher against Chelsea two weeks earlier.

Guardiola's side have been breaking records, titles, and trophies at an unprecedented pace; an unprecedented dominance that English soccer has never witnessed before.

Manchester City 1-0 Leicester City

Manchester City maintained their perfect start to the season as they cruised to victory against Leicester at Etihad Stadium. Carrie Jones' deflected strike gave City the lead before their dominant second half performance sealed all three points.

Visitors dominated possession and shots, yet Foxes proved more dangerous on the counterattack. After Jack Grealish was fouled to give Foxes a free-kick, Kevin De Bruyne took full advantage with an eye-catching strike from outside the box into the top corner – an example of their breakaway prowess!

Leicester almost pulled back an equalizer when Harvey Barnes' left-wing cross found Youri Tielemans, but Ederson deflected his first-time volley onto the bar for a save by former Manchester United defender Youri Tielemans. Leicester continued pressing late as Lena Petermann and Jutta Rantala both came close, yet City held out and now lead by four points at the top.

Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 Aston Villa

No matter the talk of evolving competition levels and Chelsea's vulnerabilities, this early part of the WSL season has been fun-filled and engaging.

Manchester City easily defeated Aston Villa 4-1 at Prenton Park to keep their unbeaten record intact. Leah Galton capitalised on an error to open scoring before Chloe Kelly and Lauren Hemp collaborated for Lauren Hemp to score her own goal from close range for another striker goal.

Chelsea maintained their dominance as Erin Cuthbert and Tammy Abraham scored to put Chelsea atop of the table by one point over Manchester City and Leicester City who shared points, who both tied. Tottenham also enjoyed a productive day under new manager, with Martha Thomas and Rianna Jarrett scoring goals to increase the momentum at their new management – hoping they can repeat it against Sunderland who were held by Brighton & Hove Albion at Amex, yet remain winless at home and face an uphill struggle in trying to avoid relegation.

Chelsea 3-1 West Ham United

Chelsea maintained their unbeaten start to the season by defeating West Ham United 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, marking a second successive win on the road for reigning champions Chelsea.

Michail Antonio gave the Hammers the lead early in the second half with an emphatic close range finish from Michail Antonio; but Erin Cuthbert equalised with her low strike for Blues after only six minutes on pitch – her first appearance since winning European Cup with Arsenal back in May.

Chelsea have now secured top spot in the WSL table with two points over Arsenal (held to a goalless draw by West Ham), one point ahead of Manchester City who beat Leicester, and Brighton who kept alive their relegation fight thanks to Rianna Jarrett scoring during an otherwise tight encounter at Amex Stadium; they now lie eighth overall with four-point gap from bottom three teams.

Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Aston Villa

Brighton's impressive start to the season was marred by a 1-1 home draw against an Aston Villa side which had been playing some of the finest football in the league. A first defeat in nine matches had always seemed unlikely but this result leaves Brighton just outside of the top six positions.

Villa was in command from start to finish and their midfield duo of Moussa Diaby and Ollie Watkins proved difficult for the visitors to cope with. Henri Lansbury missed their best chance before Trossard scored, while David Stockdale made several key saves throughout.

Aston Villa have made a breakthrough, earning their inaugural away win of the season with Matty Cash setting up Watkins for an opener, while Estupinan's deflected shot was finished off by Watkins to complete a three-goal haul at home. Villa have shown real character under Emery and are looking forward to taking on Liverpool next week.
