As the name suggests, solar inverter duty transformers are designed especially for solar power generation applications along with wind energy. With rising concern over the use of fossil fuels which negatively impacts the environment on a global scale, governments across the globe have been looking for an alternate source of power which is cleaner and renewable, unlike its other counterpart. While there are many forms of renewable energy that we can tap into; solar energy has proved to be the most efficient and reliable of all. The technology behind this application still needs time to be perfected especially on a global scale. However, we are definitely on the right track and this technology is expected to change the way we work and live in the coming decades.

A solar power inverter is critical to a solar panel system. Without it, the system can’t generate electricity. Here’s how it works; when the particles of light hit the solar panel, electrons are activated which creates a photovoltaic charge. This, in turn, produces direct current (DC). The solar panels wiring captures this current and the solar inverter converts direct current (DC) to an alternating current (AC). Electrical devices work on alternating current (AC); hence, the solar power inverter’s function is to convert the power for it to power any devices connected to it. The conversion is done in four steps:

  • Inverter channels DC through the internal transformer
  • Lower the voltage and switch it to alternating current (AC)
  • Direct current (DC) runs through two or more transistors
  • Transistors are turned on and off rapidly to feed the transformer's two sides.

With the ever-increasing demand for solar-inverter duty transformers for domestic and other small-scale applications, it has become crucial for companies engaged in this business to make sure their devices are made to meet every requirement while ensuring it’s safe and reliable. At Esennar Transformers, we offer our customers a wide range of internationally-acclaimed transformers to suit every project's needs. Established in 2000, our company has been making changes in the landscape of the industry little by little. We offer our customers, not just performance-driven transformers but also our support and insight that will allow them to create a competitive advantage for themselves at any point. As an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001: 2018 certified organisation, we have two priorities before everything else; our customer's delight and providing them with world-class transformers.
