FAQ
What image size should I use?
1200×630 pixels (1.91:1 aspect ratio) is the universal sweet spot. That size works everywhere without getting cropped or upscaled. Minimum is 600×315 but 1200 wide is strongly preferred.
What's the difference between summary and summary_large_image?
"summary" shows a small square thumbnail beside the text (older style). "summary_large_image" shows a full-width image above the text. Use the large one unless you have a specific reason not to.
Will my change show up on Facebook right away?
Not always. Facebook caches OG data for about 24 hours. Use their Sharing Debugger (developers.facebook.com/tools/debug) to force a re-scrape.
Do I need separate Twitter tags?
No. If Twitter tags are missing, Twitter falls back to the Open Graph tags. You only need twitter:card and twitter:image if you want to diverge from the OG values.
