FAQ
What's the difference between the styles?
AP and MLA capitalize major words and short prepositions under four letters stay lowercase. Chicago is similar but with its own list of prepositions. APA also capitalizes major words but lowercases all prepositions under four letters. Differences are subtle but real.
Should I always use Title Case for headings?
Most US publications use title case for H1 and article titles. Sentence case ("Only first word capitalized") is increasingly common for conversational blogs and is easier on the eye.
What about hyphenated words?
Most styles capitalize both halves of a hyphenated compound ("Self-Aware", not "Self-aware") unless the second half is a preposition or article. The tool follows that convention.
Can I paste a long block of text?
Yes. The tool converts every line — useful for a list of headings or chapter titles.
